Posted on Jul 4 2020 - 8:04am

Scouts,

As soon as we have final approval of the location and date, we will plant a tree and install a plaque in memory of Danny Stauber at Camp Allen.  Dr. Messina has generously obtained the tree and memorial and we will be looking for scouts to help in the planting and dedication.  More to come as we finalize the dates, so stay tuned.   -  Mr. F.

Hidden Valley and Camp Bell are coming to your home! We are in difficult times as we navigate through COVID-19 and we want the magic of GSR’s summer program to continue with you at home, just like you were at camp. We have prepared a program that Scouts, non-Scouts, siblings, and parents will be able to enjoy. The 18 merit badge-based program offerings were selected to allow for differing age groups and challenge levels. it is available at  https://basecamp.nhscouting.org/teen-programs#about

As most of you know we are doing summer activity bingo this year.  Attached is the pdf that you guys can reference and use.  Remember, the goals are to take a picture of you doing the activity and you want to get as many squares completed as possible.  As a bonus, any scout that completes all 49 squares will get one of the patches that I had originally ordered for summer camp this year.  Good luck and I hope that you all enjoy completing the bingo boar h   Anyway, as most of you know we are doing summer activity bingo this year.

Summer Camp Canceled For The Year

Posted on May 23 2020 - 8:57pm

In light of the limitations placed on the Daniel Webster Council Executive Committee assuming the Governor will adopt all or most of the recommendations, and in the interest of the health and safety of our Scouts, volunteers, camp staff and our extended scout families, the Executive Committee has decided to not open up its summer camps for the 2020 season.

We would like to collaborate with Troop 5 in collecting donations for our local medical professionals who have dedicated themselves to helping our community overcome the COVID-19 crisis.  We're collecting medical supplies such as masks (there are instructions on how to make home made masks on the website) and sanitizers, and also other essentials such as "chapstick, chocolate, gum, hair ties, head bands, hand-lotion (non-scented), mints, pre-packaged snacks, pre-paid Dunkin' gift cards, protein bars, and travel-size dry shampoo".
